The vineyards of the South Tyrolean winegrowers' cooperative Nals Margreid extend over fourteen areas from Nals in the north, situated between Bolzano and Merano, to Margreid in the southern part of the lowlands. Thus, the cooperative in the Adige Valley, which was formed from the union of the Nals Winery (founded in 1932) and Margreid-Entiklar (founded in 1954) and has 137 members, has a considerable variety of different terroirs and growing areas.
Bright ruby, vinous aromas and appetizingly fresh scent of red cherries. On the palate fruity and with velvety tannin, harmonious and of good length.
"The 2019 Schiava Galea from Nals Margreid is intense, as a wave of confectionary spice gives way to ripe strawberry and cherry with wild herbal tones and hints of floral undergrowth. It’s silky, enveloping, sapid and sweet, showcasing a host of wild berry fruits which are kept in balance by zesty acids. After the menagerie of extroverted fruit character the Galea closes surprisingly fresh. Readers will be hard-pressed to put this glass down." VINOUS
